JOIN US - MEMBERSHIP OF THE BCMTG

 

From Easter to New Year’s Eve, we run a Sunday and Bank Holiday trolleybus service – the only double deck trolleybus route in the world!.  Donations from passengers supply the majority of the funds for restoration work.  Working days are Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  All restoration is carried out by volunteers, with some parts and materials sourced from specialist suppliers.  Some parts are made “In-house”  We also own and run two “Cherrypicker” vehicles which we use to maintain the overhead equipment and street lighting.  We also assist the museum staff with some projects in order to improve the museum or it’s facilities. 

We need keen, fit civil engineers to help with our ambitious building programme.  Only volunteers as accepted as we have no money to pay anyone and you do have to become a group member.  There is always a good supply of tea and the general atmosphere is very informal. 

We are always ready to welcome any new members to the group. The current ordinary membership fee is given on the application form. If you would like to join us (or want further information on membership) then please contact:
